its the same size as the rest of the chat, no need to make it bigger. the only towns you really would't notice it in are the big capital cities. heck i noticed it just today while i was playing.

The only thing I'd wish for is a way to turn it off. I couldn't care less who wins the hall of heroes and especially not now that it's not assigned to gaining favour.

Something like:
X has defeated Y and Z in <TIME> and keeps the Hall of Heroes for <region>?

Signed for Kurd's suggestion. (And to all those PvE'ers, I could care less about some Captain Rujimbo needing my help)

Honestly, you think anyone cares who wins halls? If I see [XoO] show up then I offer congrats on alliance chat to my guys but i could care less when it is anyone else. As far as I am concerned they could take it away totally since it mostly serves to show whatever childishly retarded name someone has picked for their guild.

Yeah great example there.
That is part of the event, it happens for a couple minutes a couple times a day, for what? 6 days total EVER.
Compared to the Halls message that happens EVERY FEW MINUTES for OVER TWO YEARS.
Yeah great example!
(even though I do agree with you, many of us PvE'ers could care less about the useless Captain too)

Yeah I would like to toggle this off. I mean it is sad now that HA winners are announced but results of the automated tournaments are not.

Tbh i think the HoH win comment is lacking a little without the region of the team that won it... i barely even notice it anymore, its about 10 words long, filling half a line as oppose to been actually noticable.

Does the territory of a team even matter anymore? The only reason I ever saw behind it was for favor. Now that HoH has no effect on favor, what's it matter where a team comes from?

I just love it when people w/ names like "Vial of Pink [Dye]" win, and I think it's great they get exposure doing this. I don't know if I'd say I'd like it if they made it more in-your-face though.

For a PvE only player I don't care a bit about who wins or loses in Hall of Hoeroes. If I could turn off those messages I would have done it the first day I played GW.

I like the messages because of the funny guild names that appear once in a while.

Yeah, I've seen some funny names like "Vial of Dye [Pink]" or "Ten Thousand Pounds Of Quality [Beef]"
I just wish that they added a Checkbox for Green lines to hide them.
'Please update' comments could go in other lines, like the 'Even is starting soon' ones.

Who cares if people win in HoH?
It's not tied to favor so why do we get that world wide but only get the title messages in ToA and select places?

Neither could I; but at least you don't have to see that after the weekend. Any better examples?

Ability to turn it off would be nice. Then make it a different color.

I probably wouldn't turn them off because I like some of the guild names. I actually screen shot the best ones because I'm a loser like that.
I wish they'd show the region, even if we know 90% of the winning teams (at least when I play) are European.

even though i play HA as my main pvp outlet, i pve just as much, and sometimes when i pve, i want to relax and not see who is winning hoh, as it just tempts me to go and get in an HA pug or grab buddies or something ._.
and in some cases, many pvpers i know have stated that they don't care to see who wins, because he/she and [winner of halls] are mortal enemies, or just find it annoying to see [rival guild] hold halls for 3 hours straight. this happens a lot, believe it or not, and honestly, it would be good therapy for these people if they could turn it off so they could stop talking about their enemies :P
some players might not care whether or not they see it; some care a lot. some play to pve, some play to pvp, some play for both aspects of the game. so it should be announced, perhaps with the region. otherwise why are there region divisions in the game anymore? add team's region, or remove it completely from observe mode and guild territory too. they should all relate...
but we should always have options of what we want to do with our gaming experience and interface.
agrees with ability to toggle on/off the hoh message
